UAE’s ODA Prospectus toward 2030

Abstract:

 As a country with abundant financial potential, per capita income is among the highest in the world, the UAE has become the 4th largest economy in the Middle East with gross domestic product (GDP) reached 420 billion USD in 2020. UAE has good relations with most countries in the world, is an important ally of the US and many Western countries in the Middle East. In addition, the UAE is trying to enhance its role and expand its influence not only in the Middle East but also toward global positioning. To achieve this goal, one of the important policies promoted by the UAE is the provision of assistance and aid to countries around the world in various forms, including ODA. UAE's foreign assistance to 2030 focuses mainly and three main areas: development, humanitarian and philanthropic. These UAE’s ODA resources will help countries, communities reduce poverty, promote peace and stability, and protect the planet.
