INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2025
“Developing Vietnam’s Halal Economy and Trade in the Current Context”
In the context of deepening globalization and the growing demand for Halal products and services across the world—particularly in Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia—developing the Halal economy represents a significant opportunity for Vietnam to enhance its export capacity and elevate its global standing. To foster dialogue, share insights, and propose strategic solutions for promoting the Halal economy and expanding Halal exports, the Institute of Socio-Economic and Environmental Studies – Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in collaboration with the University of Commerce, the Institute for South Asian, West Asian and African Studies under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, and several embassies of Islamic countries in Hanoi, is pleased to organize the International Scientific Conference titled:
“Developing Vietnam’s Halal Economy and Trade in the Current Context.”
The conference is scheduled to take place on April 17, 2025, at the University of Commerce, with the participation of a wide and distinguished array of guests, including Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia; international organizations; ministries and government agencies of Vietnam; and experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from both Vietnam and abroad.
Notably, the conference has received strong interest from the academic community, with numerous papers submitted by research institutes, universities, academies, and government bodies, providing in-depth analysis on the current situation, potential, challenges, and policy recommendations for enhancing Vietnam’s competitiveness and sustainable development in the global Halal market.
This scientific forum serves as a meaningful platform for interdisciplinary and international collaboration, contributing to the formulation of a national strategy for the development of Vietnam’s Halal economy in an era of intensive global economic integration.
