SCIENTIFIC WORKSHOP
Title of the International Scientific Workshop: "The impact of education development
policy on economic growth and sustainable development: Sharing experiences
between Vietnam and Africa - Middle East region’s countries"

The rationale for organizing the workshop:
Education and
training play a very important role and position for the development of any nation.
Many nations around the world have made great achievements in the development
process thanks to early putting emphasis on the importance of education and
training.
For African -
Middle East region countries, education is regarded as the key tool to reducing
poverty, boosting the economic growth, improving the quality of physical and spiritual
life, bringing equality to all people, and contributing to prevent conflicts
and social-political instability in the region.
Therefore, the
organizing of the International Scientific Workshop titled "The impact of
education development policies on economic growth and sustainable development:
Sharing experiences between Vietnam and Africa - Middle East countries "
is not only topical event, but also of important issue to the study of the
Africa-Middle East region, based on which concluding remarks and policy
recommendations will be offered for fostering cooperative relations between Vietnam
and ASEAN member countries, especially in the field of education and training -
a potential cooperation development area in the near future.
The objectives of the International Scientific
Workshop:
-
To
provide a forum and opportunities for scholars, researchers and domestic and
foreign policy makers to exchange information and ideas, present and discuss a comparative
research on the education development policies as well as assess the impact of
these policies on the economic growth, political, cultural and societal
stability in selected countries in Africa - Middle East region as a case study,
and Vietnam, other ASEAN member countries experiences in developing the human
capital, human resources as needed for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era;

Draw
concluding remarks and policy recommendations for Vietnam and ASEAN member countries
in order to promote cooperative relations with countries in African and Middle East
region, especially in the field of education and training cooperation;

Consolidate
and stimulate research cooperation relations between the Institute of African
and Middle East Studies (IAMES-VASS), the Southern Institute of Social Sciences
(SISS-VASS), scientific research institutes and universities in Vietnam, ASEAN
members countries, and countries in Africa - Middle East region and others….
The topics in the International Scientific Workshop
might include but are not limited to the followings:

Development
Policy for Education and Training: comparative research between one or several
selected countries in African and Middle East region, Vietnam and other ASEAN member
countries;
-
Cooperation
in education and training development between Vietnam, ASEAN and one or several
selected countries in Africa and Middle East region;
-
The
relationship between education and training development and economic
development: Experiences of Vietnam, ASEAN, countries in Africa, and Middle
East region.
Information and
requirements for paper authors
The deadlines for submission of paper proposal, full
text of paper and assessment/evaluation:
-
The
deadline for submitting topics and summaries/abstracts (in Vietnamese and
English): September 9th, 2019;
-
The
deadline for submitting draft on papers (encouraging both in Vietnamese and
English): October 7th, 2019;
-
The
deadline for the authors to receive feedbacks from the Organizing Committee of
the International Scientific Workshop: before October 21th, 2019;
-
The
deadline for the authors to submit the final written paper: November 4th, 2019
The format requirements for paper proposal and full
text of paper:
-
Paper
proposal (title, summary/abstract, keywords): should be no more than 500 words in length;
-
Full
text of paper (excluding title, summary/abstract and keywords): should be no more than 5000 words in length;
-
The
full text of paper should be prepared in the form of .docx; Times New Roman
font, font size 12, not spaced, with author's
full name, address for correspondence, including telephone number, e-mail
address, and working organization address;
-
The
paper can be written either in Vietnamese, or in English, or in both languages
(highly recommended);
-
Language
for paper presentation at the conference: the authors can present papers in
Vietnamese or English, but must prepare slides in both languages;
-
The
reviewed papers qualified by Organizing Committee will be edited and published
in the International Scientific Workshop Proceedings at the end of 2019 (with
ISBN and ISSN standard codes).
