Africa is the
second continent in the world in terms of population, the third of area,
especially it is known as the cradle of humanity. Similarity of Africa, the
Middle East is home to one of the Cradles of Civilization and has witnessed
many of the world's oldest cultures and civilizations. The ethnic, cultural and
linguistic diversity of Africa and the Middle East has woven a colorful
cultural picture, forming a multifaceted regional society. However, there are
also dark colors that are not only regional but also global, affecting all
aspects of socio-economic life in the region and the world, the most prominent
factor is terrorism in that colorful picture. These are problems that have existed
in Africa and the Middle East for hundreds of years, but under the impact of
new global factors, these problems continue to occur in many new and severe
forms.
Facing these
challenges, African and Middle Eastern countries are required to improve their forecasting, strengthen internal
resources and self-reliance to promptly handle complex situations that may
arise. At the same time, with their important geostrategic position, choosing
appropriate diplomatic methods, finding a reasonable approach, creating trust
and ensuring democracy is always a challenge for regional countries in an
effort to balance good relations with major countries.
In general,
the short-term international environment still contains many factors that are
less favorable for the development of Africa and the Middle East. However, the
long-term development trend of the world will have many favorable factors,
positively affecting the peace and development process of the region. To
welcome that requires African and Middle Eastern countries to move beyond a
growth model that still relies on low-skilled labor and natural resources.
Instead, African and Middle Eastern countries must urgently accelerate the
transition to new growth models, based on technology and innovation. These are
factors that have no ceiling and are of great importance in the socio-economic
development of African and Middle in the next decade as well as in the more
distant future.
