Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic ideology on international solidarity and cooperation
was formed and developed throughout his revolutionary activities. Ho Chi Minh
affirmed that international solidarity is to strengthen understanding between
countries and peoples in the world. Through more than 35 years of innovation,
the Vietnamese Communist Party has applied Ho Chi Minh's ideology on solidarity
and international cooperation, while continuing to develop a foreign policy of
independence, self-reliance, and peace; foreign policy of multilateralism,
diversification, proactive international integration. In relations with
countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Vietnam has achieved many successes
including: focusing on diplomatic cooperation, enhancing trade value, exporting
focusing on agricultural products, emphasizing on form of general fund
investment, attracting ODA from the GCC into Vietnam. In the coming time, with
a strong foundation and demand from both sides, cooperation between Vietnam and
Gulf countries will be further promoted, focusing on three potential areas:
investment, trade, and labor./.
