Signing CeremonyofMemorandum of Understanding between the Institute for African and Middle Eastern Studies (IAMES) and the Center for Research of Social Science (CERSS), the Kingdom of Morocco

March 28, 2017 at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences - 1A Lieu Giai, Ba
Dinh, Hanoi, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between
the Institute for African and Middle East Studies and Center for Research of
Social Science, Kingdom of Morocco was held.
Attending the signing ceremony of the
Memorandum of Understanding, there were Mr. AzzeddineFarhane, Ambassador of the
Kingdom of Morocco in Vietnam; El Mostafa El Ktiri - Senior Commissioner in
charge of Morocco veterans, President of Morocco - Vietnam Friendship
Association; Mr. AbdallahSaaf - Director of Center for Research of Social
Science, Lecturer at University of Economics, Social and Legal Sciences,
Mohammed V University; MrSaaidAmzazi, Rector of Mohammed V University and
researchers, reporters of Morocco media. On behalf of Vietnam, there were Mr.
Pham Hai, Director of Department of Middle East - Africa - Latin America,
Central Committee of Foreign Affairs; MrNguyen QuangKhai, former ambassador of Vietnam
in the United Arab Emirates; MrPham Sy Tam - Former Ambassador of Vietnam in
Egypt; Ms. Van ThiThanhBinh - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Committee,
Academy of Social Sciences of Vietnam. On behalf of IAMES, there were Mr.
Nguyen Manh Hung - Director of IAMES; MrLe DucHanh - Deputy Director of IAMES;
Ms. Tran ThiLanHuong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IAMES Magazine;Ms Nguyen
ThanhHien– former editor in chief of IAMES Magazine and IAMES researchers.
The Institute for African and
Middle Eastern Studies and the Center for Research of Social Science in Morocco
signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to establish and strengthen
bilateral cooperation, exchange of information and opinions on topics relating
to international relations, foreign policy, regional and global security, international
economic development, politics and culture.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Director of
the Institute for African and Middle Eastern Studies (right) and Mr.
AbdallahSaaf, Director General of the Center for Research of Social Sciences of
the Kingdom of Morocco exchanged Memorandum of Cooperation.
Within the framework of the
memorandum of cooperation, two parties agreed on the exchange of information on
scientific activities; Exchange of research results and scientific
publications; Organizing conferences and seminars; Exchangeof scholars, experts and researchers.
At the signing ceremony,
representatives of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (MsVan ThiThanhBinh)
and the Moroccan representative MrAzzeddineFarhane - Ambassador of the Kingdom
of Morocco in Vietnam and Mr. AbdallahSaaf - Director of the Center for
Research of Social Science of the Kingdom of Morocco, shared views on
cooperation and trust in scientific cooperation between the Institute for
African and Middle East Studies with the Center for Research of Social Science
in Morocco for further development.

After the signing ceremony, two parties visited the "Moroccan Village Gate" in Tan Linh, Ba Vi
(Ha Noi) - a relic of Moroccan architecture built between 1956 and 1960,
marking Moroccan soldiers voluntarily abandoned the ranks of French troops to
follow Vietnam during the Indochina War.
